Abstract:
Ilam city has passed the experience of urbanization rapidly and it has significant marginal structures. Most of the studies conducted in the past decades on the margins of the cities often had a male perspective. This paper examined the attitudes and social behaviors of marginalized women toward their urban living in Ilam city. This study has evaluated the attitude and behaviors of the marginalized women based on a sociological approach and impact of independent variables such as age, education, immigration status, marital satisfaction and dissatisfaction with life and social participation. Methodology of this survey is comparative and cross-sectional. Sample size estimation was carried out according to Morgan chart. In this survey quota-randomness approach is used and data collection was a questionnaire. This research shows that, earning money, finding better jobs and their children's education are among main reasons for migrating to the cities. Also, the main reason why these women are more attracted to pregnancy is the social respect in the pregnancy periods.
