Violence against women and the role of police in prevention

The most common form of family violence, violence against women with the social side, the psychological and economic. Husband's violence is an issue that threatens life, family and community. so, The aim of this study, the situation of domestic violence and in women referred to the Judicial Center is the paveh city Understanding the role of the police in preventing this phenomenon and identify the the leading barriers to prevention of this problem. This study Cross-sectional, descriptive, analytical and depletion based on secondary data is data that is collected retrospectively. The population of the study sample consisted of 82 (women) is that due to paveh judicial Centers have complained. And have formed cases. Also for The role of the police In prevention of this social phenomenon, with 20 of them police, Interviewed. Findings and Results show that the highest rates of violence among women 25 to 28 years is. According to, age rises the level of violence is reduced. Results show that the highest type of violence is psychological violence. And the highest rate of violence related to women's education (high school and diploma) and the lowest percentage of women are illiterate. The results show that police interviewed believed that police interventions whis Community oriented approach, Is effective in prevent the occurrence of and incidence of domestic violence. And To accomplish this, the recruitment of female police; correct selection, adequate training, specialized units of the police and social workers, police and doctors on the use of the police in society was essential, So that vulnerable women returned to the community And again the balance created.
