Study of the Influence of La Fontaine on Showqi's Fables

Jean de La Fontaine – the French poet and author – is one of the most effective literal characters in the world in his era. The literary critics and the researchers know him as one of the greatest fable writers in the world with the aim of educational and instructive works. Ahmad Showqi – the Arab behaviorist poet – who owns many educational and instructive works, is known as a brilliant poet. His Divan contains the fables which were created with educational aims for people, to transmit the behaviors, patriotism and protecting the social values. The present article studies some of these two literary men’s fables.
