RootingtheQiṣāṣ or Nemesis Rule in Ancient Iran's Law

The purpose of this research is proof of Originality of Qiṣāṣ rule as the punishment of murder, explanation and securement of its foundations, helptoremovedoubts and analysis of historicalrecords of it. We specify and compare the cases of Qiṣāṣ as punishment withscrutiny of laws and inscriptions in ancient Iran such as Hammurabi’s Code and other historical information that are collected with attributive and library – oriented method. Findings of this research show that legislativehistory and administration of this rule is in Hammurabi’s Code in the era of sixth king of Babel. Explicit state of Qiṣāṣ rule in some cases like Hammurabi’s Code shows the greatantiquity of this rule in Iran and having deep rootsin history.
