Abstract:
Folk beliefs are one of the forming components of folklore. Rules which are made by folk people for the relations between things and external symbols of the nature are changed to part of folklore through stabilization among public people. Studying and analyzing such attitudes gives a clear vision of their cultural and social background. When such beliefs are expressed with support of artistic taste, they penetrate more in public people's mind. Kamalodin Esfahani is among the poets who used public attitudes as a theme for conceptualizing and developing public thoughts through detailed discerning, in such a way that public attitude about different components of nature including animals, celestial objects, and also implications related to public beliefs about some of human behaviors can be seen in his poetry. According to results of this study, this reflection of thought, at times, explains surreptitious beliefs, at other times has stem in myths, and at some points involves a religious background which has been transferred from generation to generation, being common and ongoing in Kamal's era. In this study it is tried to study variety, diversity and advent of public beliefs in Kamalodin's Divan along with presenting some examples.
