Rated Capacity of Radish (Raphanus Sativus) Plants to absorb Nickel Using Indicators Filtration Index (Transfer Coefficient, Tran's Location Factor and Uptake Index)

Abstract:
With technological development and increasing growth population, heavy metals specific Ni spread in different regions, such as industrial areas, mining, domestic and agriculture, so that the human health and lives of living creatures, especially humans made threat facing poor is. Therefore it is necessary; do research on the ecosystem and food chain to remove the metal uptake by plants of different ways. This study was done, into green house experiment in completely randomized design with 4 treatment concentrations of 0, 20, 50 and 100 mg Ni/kg of soil in 3 replicates, to assess the uptake of nickel by the raphanus sativus. After digestion and extraction of tubers and shoots, total nickel concentration in the shoots, tubers and soil were measured. Results showed that with increasing Ni concentration, transfer location factor up to the 0.9, and uptake Index to 19.65 were increased. Finally The radish can consider as plant phytoremediation on soil contaminated with Ni.
