Study of shoreline Changes rate in River estuaries (River estuaries of Haraz, Babolroud and Talar)

Sustainable management is required knowledge of shoreline changes process. Shoreline change detection can ensure the health and survival of the beach. The study area for this research, is located of South side of the Caspian Sea coastline at area of river estuaries of Haraz, Babolroud and Talar. The aim of this study was to evaluate the changes and to identify factors affecting on the rate of changes in river estuaries. To achieve this goal, is used information discharge and sediment, wind , sea level changes, Aerial photographs and satellite imagery as The main research tools and data. Method of work are based on the transect in three separate areas. Locating a straight line in onshore as baseline, images and digital data were calculated relative to the fixed line. Shoreline changes were determined at three distinct periods, each with a length of 5000 meters and with overlay of images, were examined the positive and negative changes in shoreline in river estuaries in various years. The results of this study, is shows the direct effects of changes in area of parts than the oscillation period of sea level changes. The length of coastline in the three interval, shows Other variables involved in the change and coastal zone. Sea level changes of the Caspian Sea coastline is unmatched in changes but besides, we should not neglect the role of the river and into the sediment out to sea. Increasing the area of the eastern units and a high changes of 5 to 10 compared to other unit Implies the role of river sediment to the sea and sediment drift to the East Side along the coastline.
