Sorrowful Poetries of Salah Abdel Sabour and Hossein Monzavi (comparative study)

Abstract:
Sadness has special status in Salah Abdel Sabour and Hossein Monzavi’s poetry. In spite of the similarities between two poets’ view about sadness, the differences cannot be ignored. One of the most important differences is that the personal reasons are more than the social ones for being sorrowful. In Monzai’s poetry a kind of pessimism can be seen because of the sadness but not in Abdel Sabour’s ones. This means that the social factors are more notable. The present article studies different types of sadness – personal and political – in two poets’ poetry and the method is comparative.
