Assessment of Knowledge, treatment and blood pressure control in hypertensive patients

proper treatment and control of hypertension is important due to its high prevalence and severe complications. The aim of the present study was to assessment of Knowledge, treatment and blood pressure control in hypertensive patients.
This was a cross-sectional study in which, using a multi stage sample of 358 hypertensive patients of hypertension were selected. The data collecting instruments were the researcher-made questionnaire about Knowledge, treatment and blood pressure control. Data analyzed in SPSS software using descriptive and analytical tests.
According to the severity of the disease 41/89% had normotension,33/51 %degree I ,24/58% degree II. Awareness of 318(88/82%) patients was considered good. Among these patients 85/71% consumed anti-hypertensive drugs and 53/35% consumed drugs regularly .the number of people who regularly measure blood pressure during the last 6 months were 235 (65/64%)who had
Due to the low percentage of disease control, health system in serious need of health professionals and families involved and to promote inclusiveness and operating of training provided to the patient and society are emphasized.
