The Relationship of Islamic Lifestyle with Mental Health and Degree of Resilience among Kashan University Students

Abstract:
The aim of this research is to investigate the relationship of Islamic lifestyle with mental health and degree of resilience among Kashan University students. The population sample consists of 364 students who were chosen by using a cluster sampling method. Kaviani’s lifestyle test ILST, a questionnaire about good mental health GHQ-28 and Conner and Davidson’s questionnaire about Resilience CD-RIS were used in this survey. Regression Analysis was used for analyzing the data. The findings of research show that there is a significant relationship between Islamic lifestyle of Kashan University students and their mental health and degree of resilience. Also, the results of the particular propositions of this research show that there is relationship between the students’ Islamic lifestyle, mental health and degree of resilience and their sex. On the other hand, a significant relationship is detected between the students’ Islamic lifestyle, mental health and degree of resilience and their marital status. Considering the results of this research, we can conclude that Islamic lifestyle contributes to the promotion of the students’ mental health and degree of resilience.
