Spiritual Intelligence: Perspectives and challenges

In this article, after a brief introduction to the psychology of religion, the latest concept of spiritual intelligence is presented. In recent years , the intelligence has not only been considered as a cognitive ability , but it has also been extended to other fields like emotional intelligence , natural intelligence , existential intelligence and spiritual intelligence. The theoretical framework of spiritual intelligence and it's components are discussed and the challenges of this new concept are considered. Then, some of it's components are compared with Islamic and literary works. Finally several questions are proposed for future study.
