A Comparison of the Sequence of Events, Narration and Characters in the Story of " Rostam & Esfandiar" with the Play " Macbeth"

Abstract:
The story of “Rostam&Esfandiar” is one of the most beautiful and attractive stories of “Shahnameh” by Firdausi. “Macbeth” is also a famous play by Shakespeare. These two literary works share some certain similarities. The present article is an attempt to study these similarities in the stories of “Rostam&Esfandiar” by Firdausi and “Macbeth” by Shakespeare taking into consideration the sequence of events, narration and characters.
