Measuring the College Student's Enjoyment Rate from Religiosity Indexes and Social factors Influencing them

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to measure the college student's enjoyment rate from religiosity indexes and social factors influencing them. After reviewing the internal and external researches and theories related to the topic, an integrated framework using the theories of Max Weber, Emile Durkheim, Peter Berger and Thomas ​​Lakmn was obtained which indicates the impact of six independent variables on Islamic Azad University student's religiosity in Science and Research Branch. The authors used survey- method and gathered data using a questionnaire. The population consisted of all Science and Research University students. By Cochran formula and stratified random sampling method, 375 persons were selected as the sample. The data were analyzed using SPSS, descriptive and inferential statistical methods. Findings indicated that there was no significant relationship between age and religiosity. However, it should be noted that only 55 percent of the variance related to dependent variable explained by the independent variables. The effects of independent variables were ranked as follows: use of new media, socio-economic status, life satisfaction and modernism.
