The Passive Defense from the Viewpoint of the Supreme Leader, Imam Khameneyi

The spiritual and material place of Islamic Republic of Iran, in the local and international equations has led to hard and soft threats, made by great powers. According to commands of the Supreme Leader, Imam Khameneyi, the only way to stand against universal arrogance and its threats, is to continue the thought of ‘’ fighting and defensive preparation in all aspects ‘’ in all fields. Paying attention to issues of passive defense, is one of the items that Imam Khameneyi has recommended it, times and times. For this purpose, using of the principles of passive and non- combatant defense, has been approved, by confirmation of the Supreme Leader, in form of general politics of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in 13 paragraphs, in 29/11/1389(A.H.S). But lack of enough attention of some of organizations to importance of passive defense, and lack of coordination with the organization of passive defense, in order to suitable performance of passive defense, may impose difficult conditions to our country, in the times of security crisis and hard and military or soft threats of enemy. This research analyzes threats and passive defense from the viewpoint of Imam Khameneyi, the Leader of Islamic Republic of Iran, in form of notified general politics. The research method in this research is descriptive- analytic, using the method of analyzing the content. For gathering information, library and published sources have been used. The results show that threats and their methods are changing and they have concentrated on military realms and technology based, or people based realms. So it is important for characters of the government to perform according the plans of the Supreme Leader, having revolutionary and religion based viewpoint; and taking help of the enormous tactics of prevention ;and specialized defensive, and security based approach in using and performance of principles of passive defense, in the country and the armed forces.
