Abstract:
This paper investigates the distributional structure of definite and indefinite articles in Ardekani dialect of Fars Province within the Minimalist Framework. This study attempts to determine the positions of these elements in Ardekani dialect and explaine how they are ordered in Ezafe domain in order to form the Definite Phrase (DP) structure in this dialect. Investigating the linguistic data of Ardekani dialect reveals that there are two definite articles in the DP structure of this dialect, one of which can only adjoin to adjectives. Moreover, in this study the recursive Ezafe marker headed by Ezafe marker is produced in DP construction of this dialect in order to add some DP elements to each other in DP structure.
