Economic reforms in the first Pahlavi era (Based on the resolutions of the National Parliament and the National Archive of Iran)

Since the beginning of the first Pahlavi era, the modernization of Persia's economic system was essential. At this time, in collaboration with the American consultants and National Parliament Economic Committee, the economic reforms began in Iran and successively continued by Reza Shah also after the departure of Millspaugh. Since all the economic reforms of this period were legalized by the Persian Parliament, the parliamentary resolutions of this epoch, that concern the economic sphere, should be studied precisely. The remaining documents from the first Pahlavi era depict how economic reforms have been implemented. This study seeks to answer the following question: which economic policies were adopted in the first Pahlavi era, and what are the economic reforms caused by the realization of above mentioned policies? In this article with the library research method, taking advantage of the National Archives, we tried to provide analysis on economic reforms in the first Pahlavi era.
