Comparing the effects of oral clonidine premedication with intraoperative exmedetomidine infusion on hemodynamic changes in spine surgery

Discopathy one of the most common spine surgeries and hemodynamic control is more importance in these surgery .clonidine and dexmedetomidine are part of a drug class α2 agonists are used to stabilize responses and hemodynaic . compared the effectiveness of clonidine and dexmedetomidine whit together and whit control grups in this study .
This randomized, double-blind clinical trial study was performed during 2014-15 on 120 patients undergoing spinal surgery with authorization from the Ethics Committee of the University of Medical Sciences of Ahvaz .patients randomly divided into three groups. The first group of oral clonidine 0.2 mg tablet 90 minutes before entering the room and 100cc saline as a placebo 15 minutes before induction of anesthesia receive. The second group received Vitamine B1 as placebo pills and 0.5 µ /kg Dexmedetomidine 15 minutes before induction of anesthesia during 10 minutes in 100cc saline infusion and 0.25µ/h continues. The third group received Vitamine B1 placebo tablets plus 100cc saline infusion took 15 minutes before induction of anesthesia .Induction and maintenance of Anesthesia was same in all groups. Heart rate, systolic blood pressure , diastolic arterial pressure and mean arterial pressure before induction of anesthesia , after intubation, 15, 30, 60 minutes after starting of operation and after extubation be recorded.
