Evaluation of Medical Librarian's Familiarity Level with the Ways of Dealing with Plagiarism

This study aimed to Survey role of librarians working in central libraries of medical universities type 1 in relation to plagiarism and deal with that was conducted.
This method is analytical survey study and this study is applied. The questionnaire was standardized America Library Association. The population consisted of employees of Medical Universities librarians type 1 are (110) people, sampling was census. The sampling method was census. Validity and content validity and reliability of the method using test-retest correlation coefficient of 78/0 was confirmed by the data collection practices and postal mail was sent. SPSS software to analyze the data descriptive statistics (mean,...) and inferential statistics (chi-square Chi-square) were performed.
91 percent of respondents reported more than 4/40 that of students and teachers in how to cite contributed. Chi-square test showed that librarians to students about the style of citation and how to refer to sources of advice and level of education of relationship there (p-value = 0/02 in 30% of librarians in preparing brochures and training assignments with teachers have been working.
In this study, given that librarians have little activity in most areas studied and of its role in this regard had very low awareness to the conclusion that our librarians are information literate, are alien to raise the level of education of librarians and workshops so they can be with introduced his new role.
