The survey of narrative type in Darab-nameh of Bighami

Abstract:
Storytelling has a very long history in the persian. In Iran some have quoted national-epic stories to people from the ancient period. Some kings and princes had storyteller and narrator in his court too, which have been narrated these tales and stories for writer to make up them in written form.
Darab-nameh is one of the stories from the ancient persian which has written. This work is a long narrative of Firuzshah- the son of Darab- conquest and an epic - love story of the ninth century AD which is examples of folk literature.
Since tales describe old, simple and common situations special attention have attracted narrative historians and structuralists. One of success reviews in clarifying the mechanism of narrative and specifically stories is Todorov's analysis of mythological narratives review.The importance of his theory in survey of stories is that he, like Propp and unlike Greimas and Bremond, has limited his review to a specific form of narrative.
In this paper, considering the properties of the mythic narrative in Todorov's ideas, Darab-nameh is placed in the mythic narrative row. This survey will be effective in recognition the final structure and understanding the configuration stories of this type.
