Epidemiology of brucellosis in Shahr-e- Kord during the years 2010 to 2014

Zoonosis is common diseases between humans and animals & still considered one of the most important health problems. One of the zoonosis is brucellosis that is important in terms of health, economic and social.
This study is cross-sectional and prospective, data recorded during the years 2010 to 2014 in this city was covered health centers and laboratories. For data analysis used Spss software and was descriptive analysis and graphs.
267 cases registered in the years 2010 to 2014 revealed that 27.3% of females and 72.7% of males frequently mean age of the 33.68± 17.46 respectively. Most jobs involved with the disease of livestock and agricultural (38.8%) and household (21.1%). Respectively, fever (73%), anorexia (46%), myalgia (45.3%), back pain (34.4%) was the most common clinical signs were assigned to the investigation on the possible risk factors for patients showed that a history of contact with animals (75.5%) ,un pasteurization of milk(40.1%), un pasteurization cheese (31.8%), lack Vaccination of Animal (29%) had the highest frequency. The overall Prevalence during the years 2010 to 2014 was 14.67 per 100000 populations at risk.
Considering the high prevalence of the disease in this city, especially in rural areas and the high frequency of use of non-pasteurized dairy that showed is very important for this population. Another important point is cooperation between network of health and veterinary networks to encourage farmers for vaccinate livestock.
