A study of the relationship between the quality of life and burnout among the guidance and high-school teachers in Meshkinshahr in 2010-2011

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the quality of work- life (QWL) and burnout among guidance and high school teachers in Meshkinshahr. Statistical population of the study was 1378 people. According to Morgan – kerjcie table the sample size was 302 people. The method of sampling was stratified random sampling. Collected tools included two questionnaires with reliability coefficient (0/92) for the quality of work- life and reliability coefficient (0/86) for burnout. To analyze data Pearson's correlation coefficient and gradual multi- variable regression was. The results showed that there was a meaningful relationship between the quality of teacher's work- life and their burnout level. According to negative correlation coefficient (-0/24) this relation was a reverse and indirect relation. Among the components of the quality of work- life, the components of fields of education and continuous opportunities, job design and work climate the Alpha level have at 0.01 there was a meaningful and indirect relation with burnout. The component of job design alone predicted of burnout changes.
