Identification of Factors Affecting Lack of Boom in the Agricultural Ring in Iran's Mercantile Exchange

The presence of organized markets for trading agricultural commodities can play an important role in developing the agricultural sector as one of the most pivotal components of the economic development of the country. The aim of this study is to identify factors affecting lack of boom in the agricultural ring (compared with petrochemical and metals rings) in Iran's Mercantile Exchange. Ratings and offering strategies to overcome obstacles as well as other objectives are addressed in this study.
This study is an applied descriptive and correlation type, structural equation model-based. From approximately 250 experts in the field of commodity exchange trading, 145 people were selected randomly. To collect information, a questionnaire was designed and after checking the validity and reliability, it was distributed among the sample population. In this study, SPSS and LISREL software where used for data analysis.
All elements introduced in the model as the factors affecting lack of boom in the agricultural trading in Iran's Mercantile Exchange were confirmed.
The results indicate that the factors affecting lack of boom in the agricultural ring can be divided into three main groups: the government macro factors, the factors related to the commodity exchange and structural factors of the agricultural sector. Each group contains several separate components. The boom in the agricultural ring in Iran's Mercantile Exchange needs developing solutions and implementing policies to address each of these factors.
