Sensitivity of CNG in Strategic Energy Policy

With the production of old - styled vehicles and the existence of subsidy - oriented thinking, our economic, social and environmental problems will be increasingly intensified. Today, in the majority of countries, long -term national plans have been formulated for using compressed natural gas (CNG) as a conventional fuel for vehicles. CNG is a clean fuel which does not degrade the environment. Using CNG has many advantages, among which its low - cost production and refinement as well as its role in reducing air pollution are more important. Compared to gasoline, CNG has more economic and environmental advantages. In the final section of this article, the authors describe the history of using CNG in Iran and in the world and take a look at the CNG industry in the world. Finally, they mention the necessity of the development of CNG industry in Iran.
