Investigating the Function of Religion in Navvab Safavi's Thoughts and Deeds
Fadaian-e Eslam can be considered as one of the first groups formed based on religious and Islamic causes in Iran against Pahlavi regime. A number of factors influenced stances by this group including domestic despotism, extensive impact of west as well as religious beliefs. Therefore, as a religious preacher and leader of this group, Navvab Safavi tried to assassinate some domestic figures inspired by Islamic teachings and with the support of some clerics. Analyzing historical data, this research tries to discover the function of religion in Navvab Safavi's thoughts and deeds. Evidences in this research indicate that religion has played an unparalleled role in Navvab Safavi's thoughts and deeds.
