Analysis of the Marriage and Divorce Trend in Kurdistan Province during 2006-2015

Marriage and divorce indirectly lead to changes in population size. With a marriage fertility heightens and with a divorce a number of people that can become fertile are outside the orbit of fertility. The aim of this study is to investigate trends in marriage and divorce in Kurdistan province during 2006-2015. The research method is analytical. The statistical population is the number of marriages and divorces registered in Kurdistan. The results indicate that in urban areas, the rural and the whole province, marriage, divorce and marriage to divorce ratio has surged. Marriage, divorce and the ratio in the urban areas, rural areas of the province for the years 2006-2015 have decreased but only slightly increased between 2011 and 2012 and then decline has begun again.
