Reflection of His Holiness Mahdi Advent's Characters in Vahshi Bafqi's Poem

The advent of Muslim promised savior is a predictable matter in the thoughts of Iranian scholars and poets. In fact, Persian poem has reflected the essence of Iranian's beliefs and thoughts. Vahshi Bafqi is among the poets who have considered Muslim's doctrinal principles, including the issue of 'the advent'. Vahshi is among the poets who expresses the poetical contents honestly. An evidence of this claim is the poem well-known as, "O, My God, give me a hear flaring". This depth of affection is easily observable concerning the Imam of the present age and the promised savior. Examining Vahshi's poem from the viewpoint of savior's advent, the writer of present article attempts to present motifs and concepts related to the period of advent as well as his infatuation with and waiting for His Holiness Advent.
