The Absence of Moses and Reproduction of a Common Narrative System

Message:
Abstract:
Applying morphological approach toward historical narration of hidden savior, the present article attempts to compare its component unites with Mose's absence from his people and to clarify a common system of these two narrations. Although there are different details in these two narrations, a single pattern ties them to each other. This pattern has derived from Propp and those of the same opinion, and allows us to analyze variety of historical narrations on the basis of this pattern. The absence of savior is the cause of emergence of some elements and events that appeared in Mose's life in the form of illustrative and repetitive pattern, and it can be reproduced in other narrations that are related to the savior. Using library-documentary research method, this article, considering the morphology of the historical narration, identifies different active actors and presents a unique model of a religious discourse about occultation and savior, so that this model can be observed not only in this narration but also in other narrations concerning the occultation and the expectation.
