Identity crisis and social exclusion in the new cities and its relationship to the satisfaction of living in this cities

Abstract:
By expanding to urban migration and high population density in these centers and then some problems occurred particularly in the sphere of housing and utilities, create new cities as a solution was proposed. The studies showed the inability of cities to absorb the surplus population living in the metropolis and the dissatisfaction of the residents of these regions. It seems that one of the main reasons for the nonblack of success of new towns, ignoring the social and physical identity in new cities and sense of social isolation in their residents. Thus, the present study examined identity crisis and social exclusion in the new cities and its relationship to the satisfaction of living in these areas. This study was a descriptive-correlation and the required data using a literature review and survey were collected. In the survey, using Cochran formula sample size was calculated and through simple random cluster sampling were selected then with help of a questionnaire to 350 residents of the new city campus were interviewed. According to the findings, the sense of urban identity and living satisfaction in Pardis among respondents less than average and socially isolation more than average. In the inferential part, the results of t-test showed that the variables significantly different from mean of is expected to be an average urban identity and living satisfaction in Pardis is very less than average and mean of social isolation more than average. Also, examine the relationship between independent and dependent variables showed a correlation of urban identity and satisfaction of the residence is 0.39- and the correlation between urban identity and social isolation is 0.49; This means that with increasing sense of urban identity and reduce social isolation, increased satisfaction of living in the Pardis.
