The Effect of Visual Arts on Coping Strategies to abused Children

The present study investigated the effect of visual arts on teaching coping strategies to abused children with physical and psychological signs of disorders. The sample included 7 annoyed children dwelling in a 24-hour Behzisti center; the participants were selected through convenient sampling. In this semi-experimental research, Children’s Coping Strategies Checklist (CCSC) and Disease Diagnostics Questionnaire (CSI-4) were used for data collection. Since the main objective of this research is investigating the effect of visual arts on coping strategies to abused children, independent and paired sample t-test were used for data analysis. The results show that using visual arts has a significant effect on the teaching of coping strategies to abused children.
