Message:
Abstract:

In this paper the Wetland Rapid Assessment Method has been applied for assessing Anzali Wetland in spring of 1392 for the first time in the Iran. In this research compilation of Caspian Rapid Assessment Method (CRAM) has been used. This method is useable for wetlands that located at southern coasts of Caspian Sea. This method is derived from Ohio Rapid Assessment Method (ORAM) by some changing in some indexes and eliminating some sub-indices. These changes are regard to the characteristics of the region. So, Anzali Wetland assessment has been done by Caspian Rapid Assessment Method. The results shows that the point of 55 (in Table 5) and wetland level of 2 (Table 4) are seriously destroyed and threatened they have low quality, however they are recoverable. This kind of wetland can downfall the quality level of Anzali Wetland from ideal condition (level 3) to lower condition (level 2). However, according to this assessment, if recovery process has been done for the wetland in a feasible and correct procedure, it is possible for the wetland to improve and rise its quality to level 3.
