Author(s):
Abstract:
Abuhamed Mohammad Ghazali (450-505 AH/1014-1111AD), was a prominent Muslim scholar who persuade reactions of scholars from different parts of Muslim world, presenting his thoughts and controversial viewpoints and the result was criticizing some works and thoughts. Ghazali ideas in his different works specially Ehya oloomeddin, spread to the Maghreb and Andalusia and made different reactions in lands which were under rule of Morabetin, and some disagreed with him. Strong Prejudice among Morabetin and influence of fanatic scholars on Morabetin rule, led Ali ibn Yousef ibn Tashfin, the Morabeti ruler, issued the command of burning the book Ehya oloomeddin. The most important reasons for not to tolerate this work, were weak and fake narrations, stating Sufism thoughts and Ghazali attention to the Jurisprudence. However, some scholars of the Maghreb and Andalusia, supported Ghazali and his works and tried to answer the above charges.
