Coprative study of written sources Safavid art

Abstract:
One of the most important art periods in the history of art in Iran is Safavid period. the first national government in Iran leads to strengthen the visual arts and handy crafts . From this period, left several written sources in the field of art. Usually these sources were about the artists-painters and calligraphists- in the form of Introduction In the beginning of the album.
Two introductory art history from written sources in Iran in the Safavid era were written in a decade. One preamble Dost Mohammad Gvashany on Bahram Mirza Album (952 AH) And the other is the introduction Qutb al-Din Muhammad Shah Tahmasp Album(964 AH). The authors used a lot in the Safavid era of the contents of the two preface.
Quinn, author of Historical Writing during the Reign of Shah 'Abbas believe that certain writing principles were adhered to in the introductory programming. Including source, praise and mention the motives and reasons supporting the book and the writing process ....
This article is based on library studies to introduce two valuable history of the art of written sources, tries to answer these questions: Have Qesekhan in writing, from the introductory text Dost Mohammad was the impact?
And according to Quinn claim differences and commonalities in structure and content, both text is identified. The difference between the two texts, the difference in the writing and not sharing the author's perspective. Dost Mohammad, tells the story of calligraphy and painting in history. Qesekhan creates a literary text with the content of art history. Contents Preface complement each other. The results of this document put an end to the uncertainty about biography artists. Thus studying text of two introduction give overview of information regarding painters and calligraphists .Comparative two texts on the history of Iranian art helps to eliminate confusion.
