Semantic Web and its Applications in Knowledge Management

Knowledge management and the semantic web is a new issue that has created a useful field in management and technology cycle in recent years. Thus, on the one hand, the purpose of this paper is to review the concept and architecture of the Semantic Web, and on the other hand, review its applications in knowledge management.
This is a review study that used library methods to collect information.
Findings: Studies show that the Semantic Web and its technologies such as Resource Description Framework, Resource Description Framework schema, ontologies, and Web Ontology Language are used to strengthen the semantic and targeted search. One of the Semantic Web applications is helping to knowledge management systems for optimizing their activities. Many of them have worked better and more efficiently, using semantic web technologies.
The Semantic Web and its technologies have helped a lot by making understandable the concepts contained in documents. Therefore, the investment of organizations in this regard will be very beneficial for implementing organizational knowledge management.
