Pattern of Practicing Islamic Ethics in Military Organizations

The present research was conducted with the aim of providing a model for applying ethics based on the data-based theory in the realm of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. In this study, qualitative research methods were used and semi-structured interview method was used to collect data. To select the interview samples, the purposeful sampling method and specifically the snowball technique were used and the interview continued until the data reached theoretical saturation and this was achieved in the 17th interview. Finally, by collecting the information obtained based on the data-based theory during the three stages of coding (open, axial, and selective) a comprehensive model of morality utilization in the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran was designed and presented and this model has three main categories (the basis of ethics-based commanding, components of ethical commanding, function of the ethical commanding) and a set of sub-categories including (commanding beliefs, propensities, and system of commanding sensitivities, commanding interactions, commanding recognition, commanding evaluation, commanding assessment, commanding ability, commanding skill, experience of commanding, empathy, companionship, cooperation, protection, justice, authority, strategic knowledge, operational knowledge, technical knowledge, manpower production and nurturing, production and construction of tools and equipment, production and development of capabilities and resources, fair allocation of manpower, scientific distribution of tools and equipment, proper allocation of appropriations and resources, proper use of manpower, proper use of tools and equipment, prudent consumption of resources and resources).
