Investigating the Role of Citizen Participation in Increasing the Success of Urban Management in Shiraz City

Abstract:
This research aims to investigate the role of citizen participation in increasing the success of urban management in Shiraz. The method of this research is quantitative and survey based on the purpose of the research. Research data was estimated by researcher-made questionnaire among 278 people by the Cochran formula. The relationship between all independent variables with dependent variables was tested in a structural equation model. The results of the structural equation modeling that were used to test the hypotheses showed that in the research model, the strongest effect was related to the relationship between the representation of citizenship power and the success rate of urban management with coefficient (0.91). After that, the effect of variable impact and oversight of citizenship (0.79) is in second place. Finally, according to variables of collective tendencies, democracy, urban reconstruction, and political structure of governance, each with specific coefficients, has a direct and significant effect on the success rate Urban management in Shiraz city.
