The Mediating Role of Human Resource Professionals between Industrial Clusters Relations and Corporate Performance

Abstract:
Creating industrial clusters is one way to increase the productivity and performance of organizations; however, clusters run by human resource professionals will bring about better results. The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of human resource professionals mediation between industrial clusters relations and corporate performance. The statistical population was the staff of more than 1,000 cluster units of pottery and ceramic pottery in the city of Bahar in Hamadan province with 800 personnel, from among of whom 260 subjects were selected according to Krejci and Morgans table using relative classification sampling method. In terms of purpose, the research was applied and in terms of nature and methodology, it was a descriptive-correlational survey. The data collection tool was a standardized questionnaire consisting of 36 questions. The reliability of the questionnaire was verified through Cronbachs alpha and its validity was computed through confirmatory factor analysis. The results of path analysis model show that industrial clusters relations can have a significant and positive effect on the performance of the companies both directly and indirectly. To examine the mediating role of HR professionals, Sobel test was used, which confirmed the related hypothesis. The results also show that human resource professionals indirectly affect the performance of companies.
