An Integrated Model of Change Openness

Organizational changes are difficult, complex, ambiguous and yet unavoidable. Studies have shown planning, directing, and maintaining organizational change is difficult with little chance of success. Having an integrated model of change management may simplify complex events – that is inherent nature of any change- by identifying relationships between critical elements. In this pattern, the institutional and cultural context of changing firm has been taken into consideration. Because of significant differences between Iranian and Western organizations, this is in a particular position. In this study, 21 successful change agents in different types of organizations were interviewed and after carrying out a content analysis, data were analyzed and screened by Fuzzy Delphi Method (FDM) to ensure expert consensus and on the other hand to cover ordinary mind uncertainty. The field study with a sample size of 290 employees of different organizations  was performed with structural equation modeling to examine the relationship among the variables. This model contains 3 dimensions and 17 variables and is an attempt to help organizations involved in performing sustainable changes based on their context analysis and benchmarking.
