The Rijali Personality of Samaa ibn Mehran Hadrami

In the first centuries of Islam, there were created problems for recording and writing ahadith and the weak (ḍāʿīf), unknown and untruthful narrators with different purposes engaged in narrating the fabricated ahadith and sometimes, the forgetful (absent-minded) reporters narrated the Islamic traditions untrue (false). Therefore, in the centuries later, Ilm al-Rijal was stablished by the Islamic scholars to take responsibility to study the characters of the narrators (to study of the people who transmitted hadith reports) in order to maintain the validity of ahadith. The present note with analytic-descriptive method and with narrating (transmitting) approach tries to know and define one of the hadith reporters 'Samaa ibn Mehran Hadrami "(Arabic: ﺳﻤﺎﻋﺔ ﻣﻬﺮÇä ﺑﻦ Çﻟﺤﻀﺮﻣﻲ )and tries to answer this question what his position is among scholars of Ilm al-rijal. The aim of this paper is to study the validity of ahadith which have been narrated by Samaa ibn Mehran. The out comings show that Samaa has received education from Imam Baqir,imam, Sadiq and Imam Kazim (peace be upon them) and he is Imami (a member of the principal sect of Shiʿah, believing in a succession of twelve divinely inspired imams), authentic and reliable. Therefore, his ahdith are acceptable (reliable).
