Evaluation of the Efficiency of Products of Baharan Petrochemical Company with Product Development Approach Using DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis)

At the present time, due to increased competition among service and production organizations, providing products and services with significant competitive advantage is of great importance. Product development is a modern approach to face environmental changes and is also an introduction for entering a competitive environment in today's challenging conditions. Performance evaluation of products helps organizational managers to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the products by analyzing the results of performance evaluation, and, on the basis of that, choose the most desirable products to develop the product, and thereby creating a competitive advantage. For this purpose, the efficiency of the products of Golbarg Baharan Co. has been investigated in this research using the data envelopment analysis and its ranking. The results have shown that the two products of the company have a very high performance.
