Virtual social network, opportunities and threats

Today, social networking as a form of social media has an everlasting presence in human social life. In a way that affects different domains of life from politics to culture. But it should be noted that these emerging technologies have many features and, at the same time, many flaws. Therefore, the optimum use of this medium requires proper understanding of the strengths and weaknesses; its opportunities and threats to the Iranian community. In this paper, we try to introduce the book “Virtual Social Networks, Opportunities and Threats” to evaluate and review the virtual social networks and social networking sites and their differences with social media. Also explaining the status of this emerging technology in the country and its opportunities and threats in some areas.
