Investigating Different Dimensions of International Humanitarian Law By the Security Council in the fight against international terrorism

International terrorism is considered to be one of the most fundamental problems of human society in the present day. With the advent of science and technology, as well as the spread of differences between different societies, and as a result of the lack of a common definition of terrorism, fighting this phenomenon is more difficult than ever before. In the importance of this issue, it is also enough that the Supreme Leader in his message to the International Conference on the "Global Counter-Terrorism" conference referred to it as "one of the manifest phenomena in human life." In addition, the United Nations Security Council has considered international terrorism as a threat to international peace and security and has taken a number of measures to combat it. However, since all the measures of this council should be based on international law, it is necessary to consider whether the Security Council has acted legally in the fight against international terrorism or not. This paper seeks to examine some of the UN Security Council's actions In the fight against international terrorism on the basis of human rights and international humanitarian law.
