Historical Analysis of Hadiths on the Signs of Reappearance (Seyed Hassani's Uprising)

Abstract:
Identifying fake hadiths and distinguishing them from authentic hadiths is one of the important research issues. There are hadiths in Shia and Sunni hadith compilation that present different signs for the reappearance of the Imam Mahdi (AS). One of these signs is the hadiths of the murder of Zakiah (pure) Soul and the rise of Seyed Hassani.
Analyzing and comparing of these hadiths in a historical way that the hadith of Seyed Hasani's uprising is not really a sign of reappearance, and is different from the sign of the murder of Zakiah Soul. The hadith of Seyed Hassani is an unreliable hadith that has been falsified by Hossein ibn Hamdan Khasibi (d. 334), the leader of Nusayriyah Sect, in order to prove the views of this sect. Historical investigations can explain the cause of this fabrication in the context of history.
For the first time, Mohammed bin Yaqub Kulayni, (d. 329) used a descriptive account of Zakiah Soul mistakenly to refer to Seyed Hassani without naming him as Zakiah. Later, Masudi (d. 346) used the title of Zakiah soul for Seyed Hassani. Since the fourth century, this nickname has gradually become widespread among the Alawites. And Seyyed Hassani has been identified with Zakiah Soul, consequently, the Hassani uprising has been considered as the sign of the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (AS).
