A Model for Developing Faculty Members Collaboration in Research Activities of Islamic Azad University (in Tehran Province)

The purpose of this research was to present a model for developing faculty members’collaboration in research activities of Islamic Azad University in Tehran Province. The research method was surveying and the statistical population of this study all part-time and full-time faculty members of Islamic Azad University branches in Tehran province, who were 5922 people. 415 were selected as the sample through Cocron’s formula. To collect the data, a researcher-made questionnaire that contained 41 questions (one open-ended question) was used. The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by five expert`s in the field, and its reliability was measured as .97 through Cronbach’s alpha. Data analysis procedure, auch as descriptive, variance, mean, and KMO were applied through SPSS software. The results showed that developing collaboration of faculty members in research activities has six main components include administrative and organizational, social and cultural (.599), financial and economic (.618), personal and professional (.605), facilities and type of research activity (.617), and solving research barriers (.651).
