The Relationship among Organizational Culture, Quality of Work Life, and Organizational Commitment of the staff in Different Wards of Tohid Jam Hospital

This study aimed at investigating the relationship among organizational culture, quality of work life, and organizational commitment in different wards of Tohid Jam Hospital. To this end, 200 people were selected through convenience sampling and completed Denison’s organizational culture survey (1991), Walton’s quality of work life questionnaire (1973), and Allenor’s organizational commitment questionnaire (1990). The correlational research design was applied in this study. Pearson correlation coefficient and multivariate regression were used to analyze data. The results of data analysis revealed that there was a significant and positive relationship between affective commitment, and fair payment, secure workplace, growth opportunity provision, social dependence, legalism, whole living space, social and cooperative integration, stability and unity, flexibility, and mission. Norm commitment established a significant and positive relationship with fair payment, secure workplace, growth opportunity provision, social dependency, legalism, whole living space, social integration, human and cooperative development stability and unity, flexibility, and mission. Meanwhile, mental commitment had a significant and positive relationship with social integration. Analysis of regression reflected that social dependency and integration could predict 21 percent of personnel organizational commitment variance. Cooperative factors were able to define 21 percent of personnel organizational commitment variance and quality of work life was a stronger predictor for organizational commitment compared with organizational culture.
