Abstract:
The heary-rending scene of the martyrdom of Ali al-Asghar was certainly one of the most moving aspects of the Ashura episode and the afflictions imposed on Imam al-Husayn. Sunni sources also quote this scene in their accounts. A recent Ashura-oriented ritual is holding special memories of this martyred infant.
