A Study on Mental Health, Lifestyle and Religious Identity among Active and Common Social Networking Users (Case: Students at Faculty of Law and Political Science and Communication Science of Allameh Tabataba'i University)

Abstract:
The purpose of this paper was to study mental health, lifestyle and religious identity among active and common social networking users. The statistical population was all students at two faculties of law and political science, and communication science at Allameh Tabataba'i university. A total of 321 students were selected through simple random sampling. The Keyes mental health questionnaire (2002), miller and smith lifestyle questionnaire (2001) and Khoushavi religious identity questionnaire (2011) were used to collect data in this study. The results of independent t-test and multivariate analysis of variance showed that the level of mental health (p= 0.0001), lifestyle level (p= 0.0001) and religious identity (p= 0.0001) of common users are significantly higher than the active users. In fact, common users have more mental health, better lifestyle and more coherent religious identity.
