Abstract:
Abstract Identifying the natural features of each region, especially of the climate, can play an important role in land planning and development and make it progress. Hormozgan province in the south of the country and the poor rainfall and air temperature is relatively high. In this research, we tried to use some popular traditional classification criteria such as De Martonne, Gorzninsky, Thronthwaite, Emberget, Selyaninov, Ivanov and Dr. Karimi to identify the region's climate. Then, the location of the provinces in the traditional classification should be specified. The research method used in this descriptive - analytic study. The required data were collected from the Haji Abad, Minab, Qeshm, Bandarlenge, Rudan, Jask and Bandar Abbas Meteorological stations from 2002 to 2017. Based on the calculations done to determine the type of climate in Hormozgan province, the De Martonne index shows a climatic type. Grosczynski, Thronthwaite, Selyaninov, Ivanov and Karimi show the two climates in the province. Emberget index shows four climates for different regions of the province. In most indices, Minab, Hajiabad, and Rudan cities have similar climates and two cities of Bandarlenghe and Jask were more similar in climatic conditions.
