Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to investigate the causal relationship of career adaptability based on work self-efficacy, personality traits and mediation of career maturity among employees of Kermanshah prison. The present study is a descriptive study of correlation and path analysis. The statistical population of this research includes all employees of Kermanshah prison. 200 employees were selected through convenience sampling. The following questionnaires were used to collect data; Savickas's Career Adapt-Abilities Scale: (2012); Riggs and Knight's Work SelfEfficacy Scale (1994) and Izadi Yazdani Abadi's Career Maturity (2006). Pearson correlation coefficient, regression, and path analysis were used to analyze the data. The results showed that there is a relationship between personality traits, career maturity, work self-efficacy, and career adaptability. Also, Personality traits, in addition to the direct effect, through career maturity variable have an effect on work self-efficacy and career adaptability. The model also has a good fit (p <0. 01)
