Application of the science of measurement to examine changes in production and vegetation
Assessment and monitoring of forests and rangelands is one of the important and essential aspects for management of these areas. Today, satellite imagery is used as a relatively inexpensive and fast way to study vegetation in different scales, which is evaluated by studying the spectral properties of plants. Field survey and monitoring of vegetation on large scale is practically difficult or, to some extent, impossible due to time and cost. Therefore, the measurement of technology is very beneficial in that it has the advantage of having features such as providing a broad and integrated view of a region, the ability to repeat, streamline the information and the accuracy of the resulting information, save time and costs on other methods. The purpose of this research is to use remote sensing technology to evaluate and measure production and vegetation cover and sustainable development of natural resources. By studying and integrating the results of sampling and field measurements with remote sensing data, it can provide maps with a high level of vegetation coverage in rangelands that are in the management of natural resources and regeneration Damaged pastures are very valuable.
