Typology of Ancient Architectural Designs in Gillan in Accordance with the Role of Some Handmade Arts of This Region with Emphasis on Peirce Idea1

One of the most important issues in the field of keeping a region or an area or a city's history & homeland alive is to find some symbols which are remained from past. Native architecture across the world will show a deep relation between home and environment. Rural native architecture of Gillan is a symbol of people's handmade art.
This study collected some samples of decorative motifs of fences in some villages of this province and studied the role of handicrafts. The method of study is descriptive- analytical and data were collected by field method and by interviewing the village's inhabitants. Data about history were collected from related books and articles and magazines and by studying the related sites. We use inference reasoning in our study. All the results were according to the Peirce category that were in three category of icon, symbolic & profile.
